You know how we keep saying we're going to redo our website? Well, this time we mean it. We're working on a major website overhaul that should be ready in not too long. Seriously!

We're very excited to announce that we have signed David & the Citizens. Hailing from Malmö in the south of Sweden (they've been nominated for a Swedish Grammy!), David & the Citizens are a truly remarkable indiepop band whose beautiful arrangements showcase the unique voice of singer David Fridlund. If you're a fan of Belle & Sebastian, Patrick Wolf, Bright Eyes, or the Decemberists, you will adore this band. Keep your eyes out for a 6-song EP in early 2006.

The new Faunts album "High Expectations/Low Results" is coming out on October 18. We couldn't be more excited! If you want a sneak peek, head on over to www.faunts.com, where the band has posted two songs from the upcoming album.

Asobi Seksu will be playing CMJ again this year. Their show is on Wednesday, September 14 at Crash Mansion, 199 Bowery @ Spring St. in NYC. The band goes on at 11:00 and they'll be playing with the Canadian bands Ladies and Gentlemen and Controller.Controller. Should be a fun night.

More news (and a new website) soon!

Asobi Seksu's astonishing debut CD is out now, and we're all pleased as punch with the reaction it's been getting. It's charting #13 on the CMJ Top 200, #7 on the CMJ Core charts, and it's getting airplay from John Peel of BBC Radio 1 in the UK, which is pretty thrilling. Moreover, the video for Asobi Seksu's "Walk On the Moon" has been aired on MTVU and is currently available to stream on MTVU's website. Please check it out - it's a beautiful video for a stunning song.

For those of you in New York, Asobi Seksu will be playing this Tuesday, May 25 at Rothko (116 Suffolk @ Rivington) with The Big Sleep, Aerial Love Feed, and Valeze. They'll also be playing at Rudy's (New Haven, CT) on May 29 and at Liquid Blue (Portland, ME) with stellastarr* on June 2.

Finally, Asobi Seksu has been confirmed to do a live in-studio performance with John Richards of KEXP on Monday, June 14 at 12pm Eastern. KEXP, normally based in Seattle, is one of the finest radio stations in the country and this webcast will be part of a very special week-long New York broadcast. We're thrilled to be part of it and encourage you all to tune in at noon on June 14 - you won't be disappointed.
